Phil Jackson Fuels the Fire

The Zen Master is at it again. Phil Jackson is known for his mind games whether they're directed towards his team, his opponent, or the refs. This time he's got the Phoenix Suns and the refs in his cross hairs. 2 out 3 ain't bad.

When asked how difficult it was to simulate Steve Nash's skills and abilities as point guard of the Suns, Phil insinuated...no, implied...actually he just came out and said it was difficult because "You can't pick that ball up and run with it."

Woah. Wasn't Jackson fined for something like this right before the playoffs? Yeah, I think he was.

So what exactly is Phil trying to do? I mean, Nash isn't exactly a soft guy who's going to be affected by this. First off, the dude's Canadian. Second off, he polished off the Spurs with one good eye. He's got heart.

That leaves the refs. Phil is simply trying to send a message to the officiating crew. I guarantee you that at some point in Game 1 Monday night Steve Nash will get whistled for a carry. And THAT will get in Nash's head.
